A Cody, Wy., construction company won an $11.27 million contract to build an addition to the Wyoming State Penitentiary.
Sletten Construction will add classroom space; a 160-bed, medium-security residential wing; and a new boiler plant to the prison's South Facility, according to Lisa Hubbard, the project's architect.
Work could begin the week of Oct. 18 and should be finished by March 30, 2006, Hubbard said.
Sletten's bid came in under the architect's $11.84 million estimate.
