Honeywell today announced that it has been selected by North American Video to provide Soaring Eagle Resort and Casino, located in Mount Pleasant, MI, with a Honeywell 1,300 input enterprise-wide digital video recording system and matrix switching system. Soaring Eagle, a AAA 4-Diamond resort owned by the Saginaw Chippewa tribe, is the largest resort and casino in the Midwest, offering 4,700 slot machines and 512 guest rooms.

Honeywell's MAX-1000 CCTV Management System and ULTRAKeyTM keyboard controller will replace Soaring Eagle's existing video matrix to provide the highest quality video recording system. The MAX-1000 makes total video security integration possible. The system allows all security components - CCTV, matrix switches, digital video recorders, point-of-sales data, monitors and surveillance cameras - to be linked together.

ULTRAKey is a fully programmable CCTV keyboard with touch-screen display that simplifies the operation of large video systems. Honeywell will also provide its Digital Video Recording System, which eliminates the need for videotapes, improves picture quality and dramatically reduces the time it takes to review footage.

"Our gaming customers rely on Honeywell for the most advanced technology in integrated digital security systems," said Scott Harkins, vice president of North American Sales for Honeywell Video Systems. "Through true integration between the MAX-1000 and our enterprise DVR system, we offer our customers the best protection in the security market. Soaring Eagle evaluated every available real-time DVR product, and Honeywell was chosen as the clear leader."

"We are honored to be chosen, along with Honeywell, to provide Soaring Eagle with the most advanced digital video technology in the security industry," said Cynthia Freschi, president of North American Video, which provides system design through equipment installation and training. "We chose to partner with Honeywell because they provide full integration with the matrix switch technology advantage. Our customers will benefit from the advanced capabilities and performance afforded by digital video technology."

North American Video, from fully staffed offices located in New Jersey, New York, Washington and Las Vegas, plus field offices located across the country, serves a wide range of clients, including numerous casinos, schools, corporations, retail, banking and financial institutions.
