SecurityInfoWatch.com has launched a new community engagement platform powered by Viafoura, giving readers new ways to interact with editorial content, share ideas and connect with peers across the security industry.

This launch marks the official sunset of the site's legacy forums, which have been retired as part of a broader website redesign. In their place, Viafoura enables commenting directly on articles, making it easier for readers to engage in timely, focused conversations where the news is happening.

“Our goal is to create a more vibrant, real-time community experience around the content we publish,” said Rodney Bosch, Editor-in-Chief of SecurityInfoWatch.com. “We want to give our audience more opportunities to be heard and to connect with one another.”

What readers can expect

With the new platform, visitors can:

  • Comment on articles and reply to other users

  • Receive notifications about replies and new content

  • Earn recognition through Editor’s Picks and custom badges

  • Follow specific authors or topics for tailored engagement

  • Contribute to future content through active participation

The platform also includes editorial moderation tools to ensure discussions remain respectful, insightful and relevant to the professional audience SecurityInfoWatch serves.

How to join the conversation

Readers can access the new comment section by clicking the speech bubble icon just below the article headline. Alternatively, scroll down past the story and author box to find the “Voice Your Opinion!” section powered by Viafoura. From there, users can create an account or log in to post comments and replies.

SecurityInfoWatch plans to highlight meaningful reader contributions through tools like Editor’s Picks, and may develop follow-up content based on community conversations. The editorial team encourages readers to participate early and often.
