Stone Security Launches Canadian Operations With TSS Integration
Stone Security, a BearCom company, has officially launched Stone Security Canada, completing the integration of Calgary-based The Surveillance Shop (TSS) into its operations.
The announcement was made during GSX 2025, where the company is exhibiting at Booth #347.
The move marks a significant milestone for BearCom, which acquired Stone Security in December 2024 and TSS in April 2024. With the rebrand, the company unifies TSS’s 25-year legacy in Canada with Stone Security’s enterprise expertise and global reach. Stone Security Canada will continue to operate with the same trusted teams and clients while transitioning its branding and customer experience under the Stone Security name.
Enhanced client experience
Brent Edmunds, senior vice president of security solutions at Stone Security, tells SecurityInfoWatch that Canadian customers can expect an immediate upgrade in day-to-day service. “By combining The Surveillance Shop’s 25-year local expertise with Stone Security’s deep bench of global engineering talent, clients will benefit from faster response times, expanded technical resources and broader product offerings — all without losing the personal, high-touch service they’ve trusted for decades,” he said.
According to Edmunds, the integration is designed to streamline project execution, provide a larger and more specialized support team, and open access to innovations from Stone Security’s global technology partners such as Axis Communications, Milestone Systems and LenelS2.
Growth opportunities across Canada
The launch also sets the stage for Stone Security Canada to expand into new sectors and regions. “In the near term, we see strong growth potential in critical infrastructure, transportation, higher education, healthcare and enterprise retail — all sectors that are investing heavily in next-generation security and operational intelligence,” Edmunds said.
While Stone Security Canada will maintain a strong presence in Western Canada, Ontario and Quebec, Edmunds added that the company is also targeting historically underserved regions. “This gives us a truly national footprint, capable of supporting multinational clients with sites from Vancouver to Halifax,” he noted.
Differentiation in a competitive market
In describing how the combined company will stand out, Edmunds pointed to the balance of scale and personal service.
“TSS brings decades of trusted relationships and local market expertise, while Stone brings world-class engineering, global supply chain leverage, and award-winning integration methodologies,” he said. “Together, we offer something rare in the security integration market: a team that’s big enough to deliver global-scale projects but still small enough to care deeply about every single client interaction.”
He added that the integration allows Stone Security Canada to move quickly, adopt new technologies earlier, and collaborate closely with manufacturer partners. This, he said, means Canadian clients will not only keep pace with industry innovation but also help shape its direction.
