The PSA Network (PSA), the largest consortium of professional systems integrators, announced that it has joined the Foundation for Advancing Security Talent (FAST) as an exclusive member.

“At PSA, we’re deeply invested in the success of our members and the future of our industry,” said Matt Barnette, president and CEO of the PSA Network. “Joining FAST as an exclusive member allows us to further champion workforce development and elevate the next generation of security professionals who will shape out industry’s future.”

FAST, a nonprofit founded by the Security Industry Association (SIA) and the Electronic Security Association (ESA), aims to connect talent with opportunities in security technology and life-safety.

Through this collaboration, PSA and FAST plan to jointly expand professional-development programs, raise the visibility of the security industry and provide resources to attract, educate and retain top talent. PSA has previously contributed to the industry effort via its collaboration with SIA on the guide titled “Secure Your Future: Security Industry Careers Guide.”

In a statement from SIA, CEO Don Erickson said that PSA shares SIA and ESA’s sense of urgency around growing the talent pipeline and confirmed that FAST will be the platform through which the industry can make measurable progress in addressing qualified-talent shortages.

“We are honored by PSA’s strong commitment to the mission of FAST as one of its three governing members. It is time to make a difference — together,” Erickson added.

PSA also noted its ongoing commitment to professional development and community building in the security space, citing its flagship events and year-round education programs as part of the effort to elevate professionalism across the evolving physical-security landscape.
