Trio of ADT dealers merge to create a nationwide footprint

Jan. 28, 2016
The new business will cover over 90 percent of the U.S. population in 39 states

Effective January 1, 2016, three of ADT’s largest and most established authorized dealers have merged their businesses.  SafeStreetsUSA, Gaylord Security, and ASC Security USA have combined their operations under the name SafeStreetsUSA.

With their combined footprint, the new business will cover over 90 percent of the U.S. population in 39 states.  In addition to a broad geographic footprint, the new SafeStreets will leverage the strengths of all three businesses – operational excellence, call center marketing and door-to-door sales.

SafeStreetsUSA was founded by Todd Herman, Barry Simmons and Michael Robson, Gaylord Security was founded by Kevin Gaylord and ASC Security USA was founded by Mark Sessa.  All five individuals are industry veterans and their businesses have been in the ADT dealer program practically from its inception in 1996.

Todd Herman, CEO of the combined business, is excited about the opportunities ahead for SafeStreetsUSA.  “We had a unique opportunity to combine these businesses and grow our footprint.  We think this will provide several operational efficiencies, cost reductions and longer term marketing opportunities for us.  We combined many of our systems day one and see further opportunities for operational enhancements and cost synergies.  Kevin Gaylord and Mark Sessa are excellent businessmen and will continue to provide executive leadership for SafeStreets long into the future.  I’ve known both for years and could not be more excited about the opportunity to work with them and the long-term prospects for our business.”

The new SafeStreets will operate principally from offices in Garner, North Carolina and Kent, Washington, with other administrative functions performed in Riverside, California.
