Lumana and Convergint announced a partnership Wednesday that will expand the AI-enabled video security solutions available to Convergint's enterprise, mid-market and public sector customers worldwide.

Under the agreement, Convergint's global network of Technology Centers will design, quote, deploy and service Lumana's camera-agnostic AI video security platform, allowing customers to add AI capabilities to their existing security camera infrastructure.

Lumana's platform uses artificial intelligence to transform existing IP cameras into systems capable of monitoring and alerting users to specific events while providing operational insights to support investigations.

"Convergint is a trusted integrator partner that deeply understands complex facilities, camera infrastructure and the teams responsible for keeping them secure," said Sagi Ben Moshe, co-founder and CEO of Lumana. "The combination of our AI video security platform with Convergint’s field engineering expertise gives enterprise and public sector customers a seamless path to transform their video security into actionable intelligence so they can see, understand and act on threats in real time - all without replacing their existing hardware."

The platform is built around VIA-1, Lumana's proprietary video intelligence model, which continually learns from the environments in which it is deployed.

Its distributed hybrid-cloud architecture processes video analysis locally on premises, while using cloud-based capabilities for advanced analysis of incidents flagged for review, remote management and software updates. According to Lumana, the architecture reduces bandwidth consumption and latency while supporting data privacy.

The company said its platform supports SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA and NDAA compliance requirements. Lumana's technology is currently deployed in retail, manufacturing, higher education, healthcare, sports venues and Fortune 500 enterprises worldwide.

“Convergint’s approach is centered on helping customers select and integrate technology based on their specific security and operational requirements,” said Joe Young, vice president of partners and alliances at Convergint. “Our work with Lumana expands the AI-enabled video options available to customers and combines Lumana’s platform capabilities with Convergint’s experience in solution design, integration, deployment and ongoing service.”

Convergint, headquartered in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, provides security and fire and life safety solutions through more than 200 locations worldwide. The company employs more than 11,000 people and serves customers in critical infrastructure, data centers, financial institutions, healthcare and the public sector.

Convergint Technology Centers are now able to design, quote, deploy and service Lumana AI video security solutions.
