Echodyne has announced the availability of an Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK) plugin for its MESA radar platform, expanding the company's radar management and visualization capabilities for organizations that use the TAK ecosystem.

The new plugin allows users to configure, control and visualize data from Echodyne MESA radars directly within the ATAK environment. The integration is designed to support military, public safety and security operations that rely on TAK for shared situational awareness.

According to the company, integrating MESA radar data into existing TAK workflows enables organizations to streamline deployments, reduce operator workload and improve access to real-time situational awareness. Users can access high-fidelity radar data and system controls through the ATAK interface while incorporating high-resolution radar information into their existing common operating picture.

TAK is a government-developed geospatial platform used by U.S. military, federal, state and local government organizations as well as U.S. partner nations. Echodyne said many of its defense, public safety, border security and critical infrastructure customers already use TAK as part of their command-and-control architecture.

When paired with MESA radar systems, the ATAK plugin supports the deployment of individual sensors or distributed radar networks, allowing connected TAK users to share high-resolution situational awareness across operations.

"Many of our customers rely on TAK to support mission planning and operational decision-making," said Eben Frankenberg, Chief Executive Officer of Echodyne. "By integrating MESA radar capabilities into the TAK ecosystem, we are providing users with direct access to high-quality radar data within an interface they already know and trust. This release reflects our continued investment in interoperability and our commitment to supporting the operational requirements of defense and public safety customers."

The Echodyne ATAK plugin is included with the company's Software & Support package and is available immediately through the Echodyne Customer Portal.
