ADT announced on Tuesday a national partnership with Redfin, the technology-powered real estate company, to provide peace of mind for homebuyers and sellers and enable greater convenience for touring and showing homes. ADT will equip Redfin Direct Access homes with the smart locks and sensors that allow buyers to enter and tour a home worry-free while also keeping sellers informed about who enters and exits the property.

"The process of buying or selling a home can be challenging for several reasons, especially in the current market, but worrying about the security of your home shouldn’t be one of them," a press release says.

ADT will provide 24/7 security monitoring and smart home services for homes with Redfin Direct Access, a feature that enables prospective homebuyers tour vacant Redfin-listed homes on their own schedule, with or without an agent. In addition to having greater flexibility when searching for a new home, if a buyer chooses a Redfin Direct Access home, the pre-installed ADT smart home security devices come with it. Buyers get to keep the smart lock, security panel and sensors, and after closing, buyers can take advantage of special offers on ADT’s smart home security services to seamlessly add security and begin their smart home journey.

Redfin Direct Access is currently available in 22 markets with plans to expand the popular program to all its U.S. customers.
