Retail Security Consultant King Rogers Joins Westec Board of Directors

King Rogers founded King Rogers International in 2001 after more than 31 years in the security and loss prevention industry. He previously served as vice president of assets protection for Target Corporation for 17 years. Target was one of the first retailers to field a National Investigations Team, a small 12-person unit based throughout the country who worked with various federal agencies to identify, investigate and resolve organized groups of professional thieves, fencing and illicit re-packaging operations. Under his direction, Target was also innovative in implementing technological solutions to impact internal theft, reduce involuntary employee turnover and improve service and productivity. In addition, with his guidance, Target worked successfully with U.S. Customs, the FBI and state and local enforcement agencies in resolving organized cargo freight theft and fraud.
Rogers previously served as the chairman of the International Mass Retailers Association Loss Prevention Committee and was awarded the IMRA’s President Award. He has received recognition from the Food Marketing Institute, the International Cargo Security Council, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and was recognized by Michigan State University for his leadership in the development of the Criminal Justice Masters of Science program through the Internet.
In addition to serving on Westec’s board, he currently serves on the Board of Directors for the International Cargo Security Council, the Strategic Advisory Boards of several technology solutions companies in the security field and is a Contributing Editor at Loss Prevention Magazine.
