Firearms Training Systems Inc. (FATS), based out of the Atlanta, Ga. suburb of Suwanee, today announced that it has signed a merger agreement with Meggitt-USA, an engineering and manufacturing company in the aerospace and defense sectors.
Firearms Training Systems has become known for its weapons training simulators, using virtual training to create a judgmental and tactical environment. The services are primarily used by the military and law enforcement.
The FATS shareholders will receive $1.08 for each of their shares, and the acquisition is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of this year.
