NORTH PARK -- A woman was arrested by a security guard in connection with a robbery at a Union Bank on University Avenue yesterday.

The woman, 27, was taken into custody about 11 a.m., moments after bank employees reported that a teller had been robbed by a woman with a demand note.

A bank security guard followed the woman out of the bank, confronted her and took her into custody without incident, San Diego police Sgt. Kerry Tom said.

Police said the woman is a suspect in at least six other bank robberies.
