Security Concerns over Masks Block Couple from Concert

Breathing mask referenced as a security concern by casino/concert security staff
Sept. 25, 2004

Despite having tickets to a Phil Collins concert at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Conn., a Stratford, Conn., couple was kept from the hall because one was wearing a medically-required breathing mask, according to a report from New Haven's News Channel 8 WTNH.

Security at the casino kept the couple from the concert because of concertns that "it [the mask] might upset other patrons," said the broadcast station's Internet-published report. The woman wearing the mask, Tracy Leska, wears the mask because her immune system is weak following a stem-cell transplant.

However, according to the report, a band member has personally invited them to a Philadelphia show to make up for the disappointment.
