AlliedBarton, one of the nation’s largest providers of guard services, announced on Friday that its' President and CEO Bill Whitmore has been selected to receive the 2012 Edgar B. Watson Award from the National Association of Security Companies (NASCO).
According to a statement, the award, which recognizes Whitmore’s contributions to the private security industry, will be presented during ASIS 2012 at the Marriott Philadelphia City Center Hotel on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 7:45 a.m.
Whitmore will be joined at the awards ceremony by NASCO Executive Jeff Flint, NASCO Chairman Jim McNulty, ASIS President Eduard J. Emde and ASIS CEO Michael Stack.
Rep. Patrick Meehan (R-Pa.), chairman of the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence, will speak and present the award Whitmore.
