AlliedBarton presented with State of Missouri Flag of Freedom Award
CONSHOHOCKEN, PA--(Marketwire - Apr 16, 2012) - AlliedBarton Security Services, the industry's premier provider of highly trained security personnel, has received the State of Missouri Flag of Freedom Award from the Show-Me Heroes program for their military hiring effort in 2011. AlliedBarton was presented with this award during the Veteran's Career Expo & Benefits Fair in Kansas City, MO, and hired 130 veterans in 2011 in the state of Missouri alone. The Flag of Freedom award recognizes Missouri employers that have recruited and hired Missouri veterans as part of Show-Me Heroes program.
"AlliedBarton is proud to have received this award and to participate in the career fair and Show-Me Heroes program as they align well with our own military recruiting strategy," said Jerold Ramos, AlliedBarton's Manager of Talent Acquisition. "Hiring veterans is a priority for AlliedBarton and the Show-Me Heroes program works with America's heroes to connect them with employment opportunities that match their skills learned in the military. The security services industry is an ideal career for transitioning veterans and reservists and we are honored to work with the men and women who have proudly served our country."
AlliedBarton, AlliedBarton.com/MilitaryFriendly, is committed to hiring veterans and reservists across the country. AlliedBarton partners with military assistance groups, and works with state and community organizations to connect with quality candidates.
In January of 2010, Missouri Governor Jay Nixon launched the Show-Me Heroes initiative to help Missouri's veterans and members of the National Guard & Reserve reconnect with meaningful careers, and to showcase Missouri employers who have pledged to do so. There are currently more than 1,700 Missouri employers who have taken the Show-Me Heroes pledge and more than 1,000 veterans have been hired.
