SimCam is the flagship brand of the Wuhan, China-based company SimShine. After building its reputation for AI solutions in China, SimShine launched the SimCam, the world’s first on-device A.I. camera, in 2018 to much global success. SimCam won last year’s CES 2019 innovation award. The recognition from CES was quickly followed by $8 million in pre-Series A funding from Cheetah Mobile, Skychee, Skyview Fund, and Oak Pacific Investment.
