FLIR FCB-Series AI Thermal Camera With Deep-Learning Analytics

FLIR, a Teledyne Technologies company, has introduced the FCB-Series AI thermal analytics camera, expanding its mid-range infrared portfolio with a solution designed for perimeter and site security in challenging weather and lighting conditions.
The camera integrates thermal imaging sensitivity of less than 20 mK with deep-learning video analytics to detect, classify and track people and vehicles. Designed to operate independently of ambient lighting, the system is intended to maintain detection accuracy in fog, rain, harsh sunlight and complete darkness.
According to FLIR, onboard deep neural network analytics help distinguish legitimate threats from environmental movement such as wind-driven debris, foliage or small animals, reducing nuisance alarms that can overwhelm video management systems.
The FCB-Series AI also supports Nexus-enabled geolocation, enabling coordinated handoff to pan-tilt-zoom cameras for closer inspection and tracking. This integration is designed to support interoperability among thermal and visible cameras, radar systems and analytics platforms within broader security ecosystems.
Five lens options, ranging from 18° to 50° field of view in VGA or QVGA resolution, allow integrators to tailor coverage to long perimeters, tight corners and irregular layouts. The camera carries an IP67 rating to withstand dust, heat and driving rain, positioning it for outdoor deployments.
FLIR identifies target applications including construction sites, warehouses, campuses, industrial plants, solar farms and other remote or critical infrastructure environments where reliable perimeter detection is required.
The FCB-Series AI is designed to integrate with existing security systems rather than requiring a full infrastructure overhaul. The company describes the product as part of a layered security approach that allows organizations to incrementally enhance detection capabilities while maintaining compatibility with installed systems.
The new camera is now available.
