PlateSmart joins several tech partners on ISC West show floor

Company to demo its award-winning ALPR solution

OLDSMAR, Fla. — April 5, 2019 — You won’t find PlateSmart Technologies on the exhibitor list for ISC West. Make no mistake, though; the company will be in attendance, demonstrating its award-winning ARES automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) solution with several camera and video management system (VMS) partners:

·        Axis Communications: Booth #14051 (manned by PlateSmart personnel)

·         Geutebrück: Booth #24099

·         IPConfigure: Booth #6109

·         Milestone Systems: Booth #18053 in the C2P pod

·         Pelco: Booth #20031

·         Uniview: Booth #13062

·         Verint Systems: Booth #26049

“We’re excited to be joining our partners in demonstrating the power and flexibility of PlateSmart’s camera-agnostic ALPR solution,” said Mike Budz, director of sales, PlateSmart. “Our ARES software can turn virtually any surveillance camera into a license plate reader. And because it integrates so seamlessly into a VMS, our partners’ customers can have access to ALPR technology for a fraction of the cost of competitive ‘rip and replace’ solutions.”

At some booths, such as the Axis Communications booth #14051, the PlateSmart ARES demo will be live — reading actual license plates from a camera installed near PlateSmart’s headquarters in Oldsmar.

“Any ALPR camera can show their tool reading license plates from a preconfigured list,” Budz said. “PlateSmart’s live demo, though, shows the power of our object recognition AI, which captures data about everything the camera sees. It’s a significant advantage over the simple OCR that competitive solutions use. And visitors to the Axis Communications booth can meet PlateSmart personnel and see ARES in action — in real time with real license plates — as well as at other partner booths.”

PlateSmart ARES has received several awards for excellence and innovation since its launch in 2013. Most recently is earned the 2018 Platinum ASTORS award from American Security Today for Best License Plate Recognition System.
