3M buys wire identification company Grafoplast

Acquisition strengthens 3M position for wiring and cable marking in Europe

3M has purchased Grafoplast, a company which makes wiring identification systems. The purchase price was not disclosed.

The solutions from Grafolplast include thermal printers and software to create identification systems for wiring and cabling, and the company's products serve installers, contractors and the automation industry in Italy and Europe.

According to a statement from 3M, the electrical marking products from Grafoplast fit well with the tape marking systems that 3M currently provides.
