Las Vegas, NV (September 24, 2007) - Panasonic Security Systems, a leader in professional video surveillance and security systems for 50 years, is displaying its new WJ-RT416V Digital Video Recorder here at ASIS 2007. In addition to the unit's real-time MPEG-4 high performance recording capabilities, the WJ-RT416V features a built-in DVD burner to easily archive and transfer recorded data.

"We have enhanced the advanced functionality and overall efficiency of the WJ-RT416 with the addition of an integrated DVD burner (now the WJ-RT416V)," said Bob Kramer, Product Manager, Panasonic Security Systems. "The ability to easily archive and transfer recorded data using the unit's internal DVD burner provides a practical and cost-efficient solution to longstanding issues surrounding harddrive-based recording systems."

The WJ-RT416V combines high performance and cost efficiency with real-time MPEG-4 recording of 16 cameras using 8 built-in dual-core encoder DSPs to deliver a total of 480 ips at full field resolution with 704 x 240 pixels. An ideal solution for both stand-alone and systems-based platforms, the unit offers an on-board recording capacity from 500GB to 2.5TB. In addition, the WJ-RT416V provides up-the-coax PTZ camera support and is IP-ready with the included NetClient software.
