Bank Hapoalim and Bank Leumi integrate Visual Defence's all-in-one surveillance, security and storage application

Two of Israel’s largest banks, Bank Hapoalim and Bank Leumi, have decided to implement and upgrade their usage of the DViR, an all-in-one surveillance, security and storage application for use in bank branches. This product was designed by Visual Defence, a provider of integrated IP solutions to the security and defence markets (LSE: VDI), to be a robust and cost effective management tool for the monitoring of live and recorded video over a multi-site, network-centric environment.

Both projects encompass over 750 DViRs used in bank branches. The DViR will also be utilized to record multiple surveillance feeds for each ATM transaction, tagging video footage to transaction information, making it easier to confirm ATM transactions and detect fraud.

Stuart Steinberg, Chief Corporate Officer at Visual Defence comments:

“The DViR was designed specifically for distributed environments such as banks, which explains why the DViR has been implemented in every financial institution in Israel. The expansion of DViR usage by both of these important clients confirms the effectiveness of this application, and we look forward to future dealings with both Bank Hapoalim and Bank Leumi.”
