SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- With Nearly 40 Years of Experience in the Transportation & Security Sector, Gary Resnick to Develop Channel Strategies & Partners for Vidient
Vidient Systems, Inc., a developer of behavior recognition software that makes networks of video surveillance cameras (CCTV) more accurate and cost effective, today announced that transportation and security industry veteran Gary Resnick has joined the company as vice president, security channel development. In his new role, he will apply his extensive experience to creating critical channel strategies for Vidient Systems.
Most recently, Resnick was a principal at Glover/Resnick and Associates, Inc., an internationally recognized security and communications design firm known for managing a wide range of high-profile security projects in the United States, the Far East and the Pacific Basin, including petroleum projects, high rise commercial and residential facilities, criminal justice facilities, academic institutions and major commercial airports.
Resnick has strong experience in the transportation sector, having had lead roles in security projects for such commercial airports as Reagan Washington National Airport, Washington, DC; McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas, NV; Birmingham International Airport, Birmingham, AL; Manchester Airport, Manchester, NH; San Francisco International Airport, and George Bush Intercontinental, Houston, TX.
"Gary knows the security industry inside and out, and has been involved in some of the most complex and high profile security design projects in the world," said Brooks McChesney, founder, CEO and president of Vidient Systems, Inc. "He knows what it takes to design advanced technologies into major facilities, and he knows the type of channel partners required to do it effectively and efficiently. He's a tremendous addition to our team as we begin partnering with leading security consultants, security dealers, integrators, architects and engineering firms."
For nearly 40 years, Resnick has served in a variety of management and executive roles in the security industry and is widely recognized for his design and installation experience, particularly in the areas of access control and closed circuit television within the public and private sectors. Prior to Glover/Resnick, where he was a principal from 1993 to 2005, Resnick spent three years providing engineering consulting services for Resnick and Associates and before that was general manager of the Northwest Region for Cardkey Systems, Inc., a leading security systems company.
"With the advanced capabilities of its SmartCatch software, Vidient is ideally positioned to become a critical player in this market and I intend to help them achieve that leadership," said Resnick. "The security channel is vital as Vidient expands the avenues it uses to market its sophisticated solutions to major transportation hubs and corporate facilities around the world."
Resnick's extensive engineering and technical background within the security industry make him extremely knowledgeable about state-of-the-art security, particularly as it applies to integrated security systems and code compliant interfaces.
He is a 25-year member of the American Society for Industrial Security.
