WAYNE, NJ (March 22, 2012) – JVC Professional Products Company, a division of JVC Americas Corp., will launch a number of new analog and IP-based cameras during ISC West (Booth 7075), which runs March 28-30, 2012, at the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev. New offerings include eight Super LoLux HD IP-based cameras, two TK-T Series analog cameras, and three additions to its V.Networks camera line. The company will also showcase its new HD network video recorders (NVRs), along with its entire analog camera product line, during the show.
"ISC West is an excellent platform to showcase our growing product line," said Ian Scott, vice president, JVC Security Division. "Our new IP-based Super LoLux HD cameras deliver the bandwidth and storage efficiencies of H.264 High Profile without sacrificing picture quality, while our expanded line of analog cameras provide solutions for existing operations. Whether you need analog or digital, JVC has the cameras to fit your installation needs."
JVC has committed to multi-codec support, including H.264 High Profile, in its IP-based HD security cameras and NVRs. Many security camera manufacturers use H.264 Baseline or Main Profile, which fail to deliver the storage and bandwidth efficiencies that customers expect from H.264 products. With H.264 High Profile, JVC's cameras use significantly less bandwidth than H.264 Baseline or Main Profile-based cameras.
Super LoLux HD Series Cameras
JVC's Super LoLux HD cameras deliver superior color reproduction, even in low light, and match the sensitivity of JVC's well established CCD-based cameras. The new cameras also include new Clear Logic Video Intelligence (CLVI) image processing, which compensates for back lighting and digitally removes ambient fog, haze, rain, or smoke.
Each Super LoLux HD camera includes a 1/3-inch CMOS imager that delivers full HD 1080p images at up to 30 fps. Other features include auto back focus, on-board recording to SD card, motion detection, privacy mask, and a variety of built-in video analytics. The cameras support ONVIF and PSIA standards for network cameras, as well as a wide variety of leading video management software (VMS) platforms, including Milestone Xprotect.
There are intermediate and advanced models in the Super LoLux HD product line, with a box style (less lens), indoor mini dome, and outdoor dome available at both levels. The intermediate class adds a box style camera with an integrated lens, while the advanced models include an outdoor camera with an integrated housing. The four intermediate models will ship in April, and the four advanced models will ship in June.
VR-X Series HD NVRs
Now shipping, the VR-X1600U and VR-X3200U NVRs offer 16 and 32-channel recording, respectively, as well as support for 1080p and 720p full HD resolutions with H.264 High Profile, MPEG-4, and M-JPEG multi-codec support. The units offer enterprise-level full HD recording and viewing for an unlimited number of NVRs, cameras, sites, and users.
Milestone XProtect Enterprise and Windows Embedded OS are included, as well as built-in camera licenses with no recurring fees. More than 1,000 different camera/encoder models can be supported by installing the latest Milestone device driver pack, which is available free of charge. Plus, a broad selection of software add-ons and third-party integrations, as well as a fully documented SDK, are also available.
Both 3 RU models include four HDD bays and ship with a pre-installed 1 TB drive. Three additional drives can be easily installed from the front panel for additional storage. The NVRs also support RAID 1, 5, and 10, with optional support for RAID 6 technology. A rear panel I/O offers alarm interface support.
VN-T Series V.Networks Cameras
Announced earlier this month, three new V.Networks day/night cameras deliver 1080p full HD resolution and offer support for H.264 (High Profile), M-JPEG, and MPEG-4. All three feature a 1/2.7-inch CMOS imager and match the sensitivity (0.3 lux) of JVC's established CCD-based cameras. Other features include two-way audio, power over Ethernet (PoE), SD card recording, motion detection, and back light compensation.
The VN-T216VPRU is a vandal-proof outdoor dome (IP66) with True Day/Night performance and built-in IR LEDs (50-foot IR distance), while the VN-T216U is a vandal-resistant indoor mini dome and the VN-T16U is an indoor box camera. Both the VN-T216VPRU and VN-T216U feature a 3mm-9mm lens, while lenses for the VN-T16U are sold separately (CS mount).
TK-T Series Analog Cameras
Recently, JVC also expanded its LoLux line of analog video security cameras with two new True Day/Night models. The TK-T8101WPRU is an outdoor bullet camera housed in a die-cast aluminum case with tempered glass and sun shield (IP66 rated), while the TK-T2101RU is an indoor mini dome with a 2.8-10.5mm variable focal lens.
Both cameras feature newly developed 10-bit digital signal processing and a 1/3-inch high resolution IT CCD to provide 600 TV lines of resolution. Built-in LEDs for IR operation deliver exceptional low-light performance; sensitivity is 0.05 lux for color, 0.015 for black-and-white, and 0 lux with active IR LED. Other features include four areas of motion detection and up to eight zones of privacy masking, high light compensation (HLC) and back light compensation (BLC), automatic gain control, and digital noise reduction.
