Video management systems available on VideoAppliance and EnterpriseServer

CUPERTINO, CA and HELSINKI, Finland – May 10, 2012 – Intransa, the physical security infrastructure and services company, announced that Mirasys’ Carbon Video Management System (VMS) is now SELECT certified and available as an option on Intransa’s video-optimized VideoAppliance and EnterpriseServer platforms.

Mirasys VMS is engineered for open platform IP and analog camera surveillance solutions and can scale from small, single server environments with a few cameras to large, nationwide or global solutions with thousands of recorders and hundreds-of-thousands of cameras. Mirasys systems are used for loss prevention, perimeter protection, building management and enhancement of operational efficiency by prominent customers from all verticals, with emphasis on the public sector, retail and banks.

"Being tested and certified for use on Intransa’s platforms provides our users around the world with ease of integration and the opportunity to use best-in-class systems that are reliable, scalable and simple to manage," said Jukka Riivari, CEO, Mirasys. "The integration of the two products into one solution just furthers our commitment to being open and providing systems that are easy to install and use."

Pretesting with 3rd party security applications, such as Mirasys VMS, helps to identify interoperability, performance and integration challenges in advance of installing at the customer site, well beyond simple adherence to standards. Intransa’s video-optimized VideoAppliance, EnterpriseServer and EnterpriseStorage platforms eliminate the challenges of untested commodity servers and storage designed for IT, and not for the 24x7x365 world of video surveillance. Proven in thousands of customer installations the company’s patented software technology and optimization, along with hardware tuning delivers increased reliability and non-stop video recording without risk of frame loss, for standalone or cloud-based video surveillance deployments.

"We are pleased to add a worldwide partner of VMS for camera surveillance to be SELECT certified with Intransa’s video optimized server, storage and appliance platforms," said Alex Doorduyn, director, product management, Intransa. "Mirasys brings an additional set of VMS software options to customers providing them with assurance that they can deploy the best possible solutions for HD-optimized video surveillance."
