AUSTIN, Texas — Pivot3, a pioneer and innovator in the development of hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), today announced that it has received three industry awards honoring the company’s technology achievements.
Buildings Magazine named Pivot3 Edge Protect as a 2016 Money Saving Product. Edge Protect was selected for its ability to enhance building management and surveillance operations through cost reduction, conservation, space optimization and lower labor costs. Edge Protect delivers enterprise-class IT capabilities on off-the-shelf x86 server hardware, enabling users to realize the benefits of highly efficient shared storage and built-in failover without the complexity or cost typically associated with infrastructure based on separate servers and SAN storage. Edge Protect is a lower cost solution for mid-sized and remotely distributed surveillance applications.
The Northeast Systems Contractors Expo (NEACC) selected Pivot3 as the recipient of its 2016 Best of Show Award for New and Innovative Product for its HCI solutions for video surveillance and security operations. The NEACC board recognized Pivot3 HCI technology for its ability to deliver enterprise functionality, high-performance and resiliency that reaches far beyond the capabilities of traditional NVR/DVR platforms.
Pivot3 was also named the Converged Infrastructure Vendor of the year by the Integrator ICT Champion Awards for the company’s leadership role in the development of HCI technologies, its expanding market share in the Middle East and Asia,  and positive feedback from system integrators in the area.
“Pivot3’s architecture is fundamentally different than other hyperconverged solutions because it provides both storage efficiency and data protection, while delivering guaranteed performance to applications that matter most to business – most vendors can’t offer this,” said Bruce Milne, CMO, Pivot3. “We’re honored to receive these industry awards, which further validate the unique values our solutions provide to our customers.”
