Synectics wins big ahead of World Game Protection

Two further gaming resorts partner with provider for tailored surveillance solutions

February 28, 2018 -- Global surveillance business Synectics has announced two recent large-scale resort contracts ahead of this year’s World Game Protection Conference in Las Vegas. The company’s integrated security and surveillance solutions monitor and manage more than 100,000 channels in over 100 of the largest, busiest and most tightly regulated casinos in Asia, North America, and Europe.

The first of the two new contracts are for a multi-phase project in South Korea, Synectics’ third large-scale gaming property in the region. The initial contract phase will see Synergy 3 deployed to centralize control and management of 2,300 third-party and proprietary cameras spread across the mega-resort including the casino, theme park, and one of the resort’s 5-star hotels.

The end-to-end solution designed and deployed by Synectics will also integrate with vital security and management systems including access control, Point of Sale, and the resort’s RFID solution, giving operators in the central control room complete visual and data-driven situational awareness of people, assets, visitor flow, and activity across the resort.

Maximizing the broader business benefits of surveillance is also a key aspect of the second contract announced by Synectics – a major gaming and leisure resort in the Philippines – where Synergy 3 will integrate with the operator’s proprietary Casino Management System, Point of Sale, and access control systems.

Additionally, the contract will see legacy camera technology replaced and supplemented with Synectics’ high-performance HD IP cameras delivering exceptional low-light, daylight, and movement performance. Once all phases of the project are complete, the Synergy 3 solution will provide centralized, local, and remote monitoring and control for over 5,400 video channels across the resort.

Adam Heisler, Synectics’ Sales Director, said: “Our objective is to ensure operators always have all the information they need at their fingertips, which is why integration to third-party systems is so essential to casino protection and operational management.  Our experience in designing and expanding resort surveillance systems around the world was a clear factor in these recent successes. Synergy 3, its capabilities, and the end-to-end solution we offer demonstrate our customer-first approach.”

“The fact that we tailor our solutions based on customer needs to deliver complete situational awareness across an entire property is one of the reasons we continue to win new contracts such as these.  We take the initiative to truly understand their current needs and future direction. Additionally, we strive to be a true technology partner with each and every customer. We do this through our dedication in providing high-quality support and services throughout the project lifecycle, which has been instrumental in our ability to build long-standing relationships and ultimately, our success in the market.”

The two contracts are the latest in a line of recent Asia-Pacific gaming wins secured by the global surveillance business, with others including projects for Widus Hotel and Casino (Philippines), Tiger Casino (Nepal), an integrated Malaysian casino resort, and GONGZI Jeju (South Korea).

Alongside a North American customer base which features names including Penn National Gaming, Wynn, Pinnacle Entertainment, Seneca Nation, and Genting, these new projects reflect Synectics proven track record in delivering enterprise-class solutions for the world’s most demanding gaming environments.
