Axon showcases new AI-powered real-time intelligence capabilities during Axon Week 2026.

Axon (Nasdaq: AXON) introduced a new standard in real-time intelligence during Axon Week 2026, its annual user conference, highlighting a suite of AI-powered capabilities designed to help public safety agencies detect incidents earlier, access information faster and coordinate responses more effectively.

The announcement comes as agencies face growing volumes of data. In the United States alone, more than 240 million 911 calls are made each year, many now including video, images and telemetry. At the same time, body-worn and static cameras are generating millions of hours of footage. This surge in information has created what Axon describes as a “data tax,” where critical context is often fragmented across systems or missed entirely, slowing response times and increasing risk for officers and communities.

“Axon’s customers are being asked to do more with greater transparency and higher expectations,” said Rick Smith, Founder and CEO of Axon. “We are breaking down information barriers and providing a secure, compliant foundation to help prevent harm, accelerate justice and protect life in the communities our customers serve.”

Axon’s latest platform enhancements are designed to unify data, devices and workflows across the public safety ecosystem. By connecting live video, 911 systems and reporting tools, the company aims to reduce complexity for officers who have traditionally relied on separate systems, while enabling faster and more precise responses. The platform is built on a secure and compliant foundation intended to keep agency data protected and interactions auditable across the full incident lifecycle.

Among the new capabilities is Axon Vision, which delivers real-time awareness from live video feeds. With millions of CCTV cameras in operation across the U.S., the solution uses AI to identify critical activity as it occurs, helping operators navigate large volumes of footage and focus on relevant events. When alerts are triggered, operators can verify incidents using nearby cameras and determine appropriate actions.

Axon also expanded its Axon Assistant, a privacy-focused tool that was initially introduced for body-worn cameras. The Assistant now includes new features and broader availability across the Axon ecosystem, providing secure access to agency data through Axon Evidence and the Axon App on mobile devices. The tool is compliant with FBI Criminal Justice Information Services Security Policy and supports tasks such as creating Be On The Lookout alerts, researching cases and enabling coordination between field personnel and back-office teams.

In addition, the company introduced Axon 911, a cloud-based platform built following the acquisitions of Prepared and Carbyne. The solution is designed to support AI-enabled emergency response centers by integrating critical data directly into response workflows, giving responders greater context before arriving on scene.
