Milestone Systems, IQSIGHT Release SmartSuite Plugin Suite for XProtect VMS

Milestone Systems and IQSIGHT, previously Bosch Video Systems, have expanded their collaboration with the release of SmartSuite, a consolidated plugin suite for Milestone’s XProtect video management software. The new suite is designed to streamline system installation for integrators while adding new camera and analytics capabilities.

According to the companies, SmartSuite embeds Intelligent Video Analytics from IQSIGHT directly into the XProtect platform. The integration allows security professionals to configure hardware, access analytics and manage operations within the XProtect interface as a single pane of glass.

By bringing SmartSuite data directly into the platform, the integration is intended to provide deeper forensic insights, accelerate incident response and improve operational efficiency. The companies say this added intelligence can help organizations proactively address security and safety risks.

Enhancing awareness and investigations

SmartSuite surfaces rich metadata within XProtect, including color-coded bounding boxes, object classification, trajectory lines and gunshot direction indicators. It also supports forensic search and real-time metadata visualization for Intelligent Video Analytics Pro analytics such as Appearance and Personal Protective Equipment monitoring.

The suite is also compatible with IVA Pro Visual Gun Detection, which is designed to detect a person brandishing a gun and alert personnel to support faster threat identification in environments such as schools.

Streamlining installation and configuration

The companies say SmartSuite reduces installation time for system integrators by up to 70% by consolidating three separate plug-ins into one unified suite.

The solution also includes panoramic de-warping and hardware control features such as wipers and infrared illumination. In addition, Project Assistant import capabilities allow automatic configuration of Bosch camera names, groups, network settings and image adjustments to speed up system commissioning.

SmartSuite also enables integrators to configure Bosch cameras directly within the XProtect Management Client, removing the need to log in to individual devices or switch between configuration environments. The suite introduces fast event subscription to simplify the setup of analytics-driven alarms and notifications.

Available globally

SmartSuite is available globally and can be downloaded free of charge through IQSIGHT.
