Zwipe was founded in September 2009. Our purpose since then has been to develop and commercialize authentication solutions for markets that require a high degree of security and user friendliness. Innovation Norway, The Norwegian Research Council and Oslo Innovation Centre have supported the company since it was founded.

The company has achieved several external validations of the Zwipe concept like the European innovation award (2009) for young enterprises, the FERD- Award for highest international potential (2009), and as the winner of DNBs regional innovation award (2010).

Zwipe has now launched Zwipe Access, the world`s first contactless card with a fully implemented fingerprint system, and we are securing premises with Zwipe both in Norway and abroad.
