Allegion Introduces Enhancements to LCN Senior Swing Operators

Allegion has released a series of upgrades to its LCN 2800IQ and 9500IQ Senior Swing series operators that include the company’s patent-pending AdaptivIQ self-adjusting technology.

The LCN Senior Swing is designed for durability and year-round performance in high-use locations such as healthcare facilities and offices. The operator uses AdaptivIQ and Smart Power Boost technology to respond to seasonal changes, daily variations and external pressures including wind, carpet drag and HVAC stack pressure. According to Allegion, this allows smooth operation with reduced maintenance needs.

Jason Fodstad, the project lead engineering manager for the Senior Swing, said the combination of AdaptivIQ and Smart Power Boost differentiates the operator in the market.

The updated Senior Swing is intended to save installers time and labor through simplified installation. New hook-and-cleat hardware is designed to hold the motor gearbox and control box hands-free during setup. The control box includes 23 customizable settings, a user-friendly LCD screen, a self-calibration cycle and real-time diagnostics.

Emily Zentz, product manager for LCN Automatic Operators, said the enhancements were developed to meet customer needs and provide reliable performance.

Customers with existing Senior Swing operators can access the new features by installing the updated motor gearbox and controller box. Allegion is offering upgrade kits for purchase.
