Schlage XE360 Series Wireless Locks from Allegion
Schlage XE360 Series with RealSync brings smarter access control to multifamily, student housing and commercial properties with no added complexity. Clean design, built-in intelligence, plus an interchangeable FleX Module make upgrades and staying current with evolving technology simple.
XE360 devices feature an interchangeable FleX Module that allows for communication type, memory and encryption upgrades. Choose from two connectivity options: offline via Bluetooth or RealSync via Wi-Fi.
Offline via Bluetooth Best for properties with infrequent access updates, this option uses a BLE app for direct lock updates, with optional No-Tour delivery to decrease manual visits to the lock. Simple, low-infrastructure, and ideal where managed Wi-Fi isn't available.
RealSync via Wi-Fi Update in real time, anytime, from anywhere, using the existing Wi-Fi network. Get the benefits of a hardwired system, without the expense. XE360 Series with RealSync requires no extra hardware (like a hub), and offers persistent, cost- and battery-efficient control. When the time comes for a property to make the switch from offline to real-time, simply upgrade the FleX Module and recommission to the new access control system.
XE360 locks connected via RealSync has five key values that make it groundbreaking in the commercial landscape:
Persistently Connected - Being always connected allows for real-time changes to be made at any time. Update access changes instantly, like remote lock or unlock or add/revoke a credential. No more waiting on a scheduled sync. And every command gets a confirmation back, so you always know the action went through. Receive monitoring alerts the moment a security event occurs, such as forced door or propped door, allowing for immediate reaction and decision making, leading to an opening more secure than ever before. A persistent connection allows for the access control software to push firmware updates remotely, so that the locks are always most up to date with the latest technology, encryption and security protocols. No more having to walk to the door to update the lock.
Low Risk + Low Maintenance - RealSync™ enables immediate alerts about what is happening at the opening. This enables fast remediation of a possible security threat, which lowers risk. RealSync also enables predictive notifications that reduce physical visits for lockouts and maintenance. The lock’s health visibility being the biggest benefactor – for example, staff can receive alerts when battery life is low or critical. Less visits from maintenance, lower operational cost, and happier occupants.
Simplified Setup - From a physical hardware and wiring perspective, XE360™ devices with RealSync™ are simple to install and deploy because they connect to local Wi-Fi without anything else (no hubs, wires, gateways, readers - just the lock itself). This means that for properties that have Wi-Fi distributed throughout, the scalability of this is a game changer. This creates the unique ability to put access control on doors that have typically been "ignored" in the past due to a high cost of installation or are too far into the building to hardwire.
One Year Battery Life - When utilized in the offline function, XE360™ Series locks can maintain up to two years of battery life using four standard AA batteries. XE360 locks with RealSync™ consume more power to be persistently connected and allow for real-time data to be transmitted. Because of this, we have optimized devices using RealSync to maintain a minimum of one year of battery life, which far surpasses the current benchmark of around six months within the commercial space. This one year or better battery performance allows for replacements to be timed alongside annual turnover for resident (multifamily) or tenant (commercial) openings, allowing maintenance to work on a scheduled cycle, reducing demand on that team and the subsequent operational interruptions.
Saves Money - The average new construction project with a budget of $100,000 and five traditional “hard wired” openings can see an approximate savings of 60-70% per opening by opting for a wireless lock like XE360 that utilizes RealSync via Wi-Fi®. Those savings can be allocated toward expansion of access control deeper into the building, for things like tenant (in commercial) and resident (in multifamily) doors.
Long term and post-install streamlined operations thanks to reductions in physical visits to the locks and real-time status reporting and alerts saves significant expense.
