Global access solutions provider Salto has introduced the DBolt Touch Outdoor, an IP55-rated smart deadbolt designed to provide secure keyless access for exterior and weather-exposed residential doors.

The DBolt Touch Outdoor expands the company’s residential smart locking technology and is designed for both retrofit and new construction multifamily properties. The lock extends smart access capabilities beyond interior unit doors and is built to withstand everyday outdoor conditions while maintaining a modern residential design.

The outdoor model incorporates Salto electronic access technologies including SVN, BLUEnet and JustIN Mobile. It supports both cloud-based and stand-alone access and is compatible with the Salto Space, Salto KS and Salto Homelok platforms. According to the company, the system is intended to enhance security, improve operational efficiency and support the resident keyless experience through flexible smart access management.

The device is available in multiple finish options and connects wirelessly to a smart living ecosystem. Through Salto smart access platforms, the solution brings together security, access control, property operations and resident access in one keyless system.

The DBolt Touch Outdoor is wire-free and designed to fit standard deadbolt door preparations without drilling, allowing simplified installation across multifamily properties.

Salto said the lock is suitable for apartment unit doors, home doors and retrofit multifamily applications. It supports multiple credential types including RFID keycards and fobs, NFC, JustIN Mobile BLE credentials and user PIN codes.

The DBolt Touch Outdoor is part of the company’s residential smart access portfolio and is designed to eliminate the need for physical keys. Residents can access their homes using a smartphone, key fob or key card, giving them control over home security while supporting modern multifamily living.
