Salto Americas Expands Smart Access Portfolio With Ruggedized DBolt Touch IC Outdoor

The DBolt Touch IC Outdoor from Salto Americas is designed to provide keyless smart access for exposed residential and multifamily exterior doors.
Salto Americas has introduced the DBolt Touch Interconnected (IC) Outdoor, a ruggedized smart electronic deadbolt designed for exterior and exposed apartment unit doors in residential environments.
The new model expands the company’s DBolt Touch series by combining interconnected hardware with an IP55-rated design intended to withstand direct rain exposure and challenging weather conditions while supporting modern residential safety requirements.
According to Salto Americas, the DBolt Touch IC Outdoor features a manual interconnected deadbolt and passage latch system that allows users to retract both the latch and deadbolt in a single motion. The company said the functionality supports quick exits that align with many residential building guidelines and fire safety codes.
“The launch of the DBolt Touch IC Outdoor is a direct response to the needs of our multifamily and residential partners who require the safety of interconnected hardware without sacrificing durability,” said Bob Wilkins, director of marketing and category management at Salto Americas. “By extending our IP55-rated technology to the interconnected model, we are giving property owners the flexibility to provide a consistent, secure, and stylish smart access experience across every door on their property, regardless of exposure to the elements.”
The DBolt Touch IC Outdoor is engineered for North American climates and is designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -31°F to 140°F. Salto Americas said the keypad side is rated IP55 for direct rain exposure and non-condensing humid environments, making it suitable for perimeter doors and exposed corridor units.
The company also announced new design and usability enhancements for the product line. The DBolt Touch IC Outdoor is available with the Salto Washington, or “W,” lever handle, a design option commonly used in multifamily residential projects. New models also include an updated keypad featuring a wakeup button located on the “5” key for faster access response.
Salto Americas said the touchscreen deadbolt supports a fully keyless smart living experience and is compatible with the broader Salto electronic access management ecosystem. The platform supports access management for common doors, emergency exits, elevators, garage doors and pool areas.
The DBolt Touch IC Outdoor is compatible with Homelok, Salto’s cloud-based electronic access solution for multifamily and residential properties, as well as Space and Salto KS.
Additional features include support for mobile entry, RFID credentials and PIN codes with time-bound access options. The battery-powered hardware is designed to replace traditional mechanical deadbolts without requiring wiring.
The DBolt Touch IC Outdoor is now available through Salto Americas.
