Salto has introduced an outdoor-ready version of its Ælement Fusion smart locking solution, expanding its electronic access portfolio to support exterior doors and environments exposed to challenging weather conditions.

Designed for premium residential properties and hospitality applications, the new solution extends the Ælement Fusion range by enabling property operators to use the same minimalist access control design across interior suites, guest rooms, apartments, common areas and exterior entrances. The system integrates electronic components, battery packs and internal boards within the door, eliminating traditional lock hardware from the door face while maintaining security, weather resistance and the user experience.

The outdoor-ready range is intended to address the challenge of providing secure, keyless access for exterior applications without visible hardware that can detract from architectural aesthetics.

Ælement Fusion features a compact, flush-mounted circular reader ring that supports smart credentials and digital mobile keys, including Wallet keys. Its design places core electronics inside the door to help protect sensitive components from environmental exposure while maintaining a streamlined appearance. Specially designed climate gaskets provide protection against rain, humidity and extreme temperatures.

According to Salto, the new model incorporates engineering enhancements for outdoor use, including gasket protection intended to help the smart locking solution perform in demanding exterior environments.

The system includes a compact reader with no visible lock hardware on the door and an interactive circular light ring offered in Satin Steel, Matte Black, White and Polished Brass finishes. A selection of door handles and finishes is also available to complement different door styles.

Ælement Fusion is available in both EU and ANSI versions for standard-profile doors and carries an IP55 rating for protection against dust and water ingress in outdoor environments.

The outdoor-ready smart locking solution also integrates with Salto's smart access ecosystem, supporting real-time wireless technology, automated access management and mobile-first keyless access.

The new Ælement Fusion is available globally beginning this month.
