Adams Rite, an ASSA ABLOY Group company, has announced enhancements to its 4300 Steel Hawk Electrified Deadlatch, simplifying electronic access control upgrades for existing commercial openings while improving operation on doors affected by sag, misalignment and wear.
The updated 4300 Steel Hawk features a redesigned latch assembly and internal improvements intended to reduce opening force and support reliable operation in less-than-ideal door conditions. According to Adams Rite, the changes are designed to maintain smooth functionality and security performance without requiring door or frame replacement.
"Commercial doors rarely remain in perfect alignment throughout their lifecycle," said Julia Kamody, Product Manager. "The enhanced 4300 Steel Hawk was designed to accommodate the realities of aging storefront openings while providing the reliability, security, and retrofit simplicity our customers expect."
Adams Rite said the 4300 Steel Hawk is intended to help security integrators, locksmiths and facility managers modernize existing storefront openings while extending door life and improving security performance.
The electrified deadlatch can be used for addressing misaligned doors or converting mechanical openings to electronic access control, providing what Adams Rite describes as a practical and cost-effective upgrade path for commercial facilities.
