HavenLock has appointed Jason Lutz as senior vice president of sales and channel as the company expands its leadership team and prepares to take its Haven Gen4 platform into national distribution.

Lutz brings more than three decades of security industry experience to the position. He will oversee HavenLock’s sales strategy, channel development and partner engagement while helping build the company’s national dealer network. He will report to Chief Commercial Officer John Heller.

The appointment comes as Nashville, Tenn.-based HavenLock moves from the launch stage toward broader distribution. Lutz will work with distributors, dealers and systems integrators to develop channel programs and partner support as the company expands.

“Haven has built a lot of momentum, and we're entering a phase where scaling our channel is increasingly important,” HavenLock founder Alex Bertelli said. “Jason brings a decade of experience owning and operating a security company, along with a deep understanding of what dealers need to be successful. He's a strong fit for what comes next.”

3 decades in the security industry

Lutz began his security industry career in 1992 in sales with a national security company in Houston before relocating to Nashville, where he spent a decade owning and operating his own security company.

In 2002, he joined Resideo, formerly Ademco/Honeywell, as district manager for the Midwest region. During a 24-year tenure with the company, Lutz held leadership positions in National Accounts and Industry Affairs. Most recently, he served as director of Resideo’s Brand Ambassador Program, where he helped develop security sales professionals.

Lutz has also been involved with several security industry organizations. He has served on the Electronic Security Association Board of Directors, Security Industry Alarm Coalition Board of Directors, Alarm Industry Communications Committee and Security Industry Association Executive Advisory Board. He has also advocated for the industry on Capitol Hill and currently chairs Mission 500, a nonprofit supporting children and communities in need.

“Haven is delivering solutions that address real security needs with the installer in mind, and I'm joining at an important moment in the company's growth,” Lutz said. “I look forward to working with our partners and customers to expand our reach and build lasting value across the channel.”

According to the company, Lutz’s appointment is one of several moves HavenLock has made this year to strengthen its leadership and channel infrastructure ahead of the national rollout of Gen4. The company said it plans to provide additional details about that broader build-out in the coming weeks.

HavenLock develops commercial access control solutions for dealers, facility leaders and communities. Dealers and integrators interested in its channel and certification programs can find additional information through the company.
