Throughout January, viewers can watch and comment for a chance to win an Apple iPad Air

January 6, 2014, Salem, Va. – Medeco, an ASSA ABLOY Group company, today announced the release of a new web series demonstrating the durability of the Medeco Maxum Deadbolt compared to common retail deadbolts. The Maxum is suited to keep unwanted visitors out as depicted in the first episode of Medeco’s new web series at http://bit.ly/1d6FHd0.

During the month of January, Medeco will be giving away one Apple iPad Air to a lucky user who views the Medeco Maxum durability video and leaves a comment on the YouTube page!

Compared to other locks typically found at big box stores, the Maxum Deadbolt exceeds Grade 1 ANSI/BHMA A156.36 standards for auxiliary locks with a solid brass, free turning collar and a ¼ inch diameter mounting bolts to resist wrenching, prying and hammering attaches. With a one inch throw hardened steel bolt, sawing and crowbar attacks are eliminated as well.

Hardened steel inserts and rotating pins provide drill and pick resistance in accordance with UL437 standard for safety for key locks. The bolt mechanism is designed to accommodate both mortise and drive-in applications, providing greater flexibility and ease of installation. Eight variations of finishes are available to provide an extremely close color match with existing hardware.
