The Kindoo Battery-Powered Handle with Integrated Access Control brings secure smartphone access control to standard commercial doors without wiring or additional infrastructure. Designed as a simple drop-in replacement for existing cylindrical lever handles, it installs in standard ANSI 161 door preparation without rewiring or drilling new holes.  

Users unlock doors through the Kindoo app using Bluetooth Low Energy with 256-bit encryption. Through the smartphone app, administrators can add or delete users, control access rights, manage schedules, review audit trail logs, grant access remotely, and receive access-event notifications.  

Two commercially available CR123 batteries provide up to 10 years of battery life based on 10 unlockings per day. The handle features full stainless-steel construction with no exposed electronics, a free-wheeling, non-handed reversible lever and a standard key-in-lever cylinder. SFIC and LFIC cylinder options are available by custom order, along with multiple finish options.  

The handle is designed for commercial facilities seeking to add or expand access control without the cost and complexity of conventional wired systems. Target markets include education, offices, retail, fitness facilities, healthcare, hospitality, houses of worship and other small or multi-site organizations.

It also gives locksmiths, security dealers and systems integrators a simpler way to offer smartphone-based access control to customers.  

The product is designed to meet ANSI Grade 1 and UL 10C standards; testing is in progress.
