Tane Alarm Products, New Hyde Park, N.Y., has added four waterproof alarm contacts to its current line of commercial alarm contacts in track-mount, overhead and surface-mount styles. All feature very wide gaps and three of the four additionally offer armored cases and cables. These new contacts are suitable for non-submerged installations in locations exposed to the weather, such as warehouse doors, boatsheds, swimming pool gates, job site tool boxes, storage containers, marine facilities and remote field production installations. The MET-46WG-WP18 (pictured) promises to be the most sought after version, based on sales of the non-waterproof model of the same part.
