Company to expand operations in Latin America, the Caribbean

AES-IntelliNet, a Massachusetts-based provider of wireless mesh networks, announced this week that it has opened a new sales office in Mexico. In addition, the company has also named Ugolino Duran as its director of Latin American and Caribbean sales to help grow business in those markets.

Duran, who has more than 22 years of experience in the electronic security industry, having worked for such companies as Honeywell Ademco International, Notifier, Johnson Controls, and Tyco Grinnell Fire Protection Systems, is expected not only to push sales initiatives in his respective territories, but also for providing support to the company’s existing customers.

In a prepared statement, AES-IntelliNet COO Mark Brandstein said that the addition of the new office will bring the company "closer" to the Latin American and Caribbean markets and that with the help of Duran, they will be able to "better appreciate" the needs of customers in the regions.
