RapidFire Safety & Security Acquires Pro-Alarm

The acquisition expands RapidFire Safety & Security's presence in Southern Illinois and the Greater St. Louis region while adding Pro-Alarm's commercial and government customer base.

RapidFire Safety & Security has acquired Pro-Alarm, expanding its presence in Southern Illinois and the Greater St. Louis region.

Based in Marine, Ill., Pro-Alarm is a full-service alarm company with more than four decades of industry experience. The company provides installation, service and monitoring of security alarms, fire alarms, video surveillance and access control solutions for commercial and government customers.

Pro-Alarm also holds St. Louis County Communications Contractor and Alarm Licenses.

Under the acquisition, Pro-Alarm will continue operating with its existing team while gaining access to RapidFire’s resources, systems and infrastructure. According to an announcement, the acquisition aligns with RapidFire’s strategy of partnering with established providers in key markets to expand capabilities and support customer service across its footprint.

“We are pleased to welcome Pro-Alarm, its employees, and its customers to RapidFire,” said Brian Modglin, COO of RapidFire Safety & Security. “Don and Terri have built a respected business defined by strong customer relationships, technical expertise, and a long-standing commitment to service. This partnership strengthens our position in the greater St. Louis market and expands our ability to serve customers across Illinois and Missouri with additional resources and capabilities.”

Bob Ricucci, CRO of RapidFire Safety & Security, said the acquisition supports the company's efforts to expand and strengthen its service offerings in key markets.

“The addition of Pro-Alarm reflects our continued focus on expanding and strengthening our service offerings in key markets,” Ricucci said. “Their experienced team and established customer base further enhance our ability to deliver value to clients across the region.”

Don Satterlee, owner of Pro-Alarm, said maintaining continuity for employees and customers was a primary consideration in evaluating the company’s future.

“When thinking about the future for our employees and customers, my No. 1 goal was a continuation of the high quality sales, service, and momentum. We did not want to just let the company we built over the last 42 years servicing our family, friends and neighbors go to a recurring monthly revenue only buyer,” Satterlee said. “The fit with RapidFire Safety & Security made sense looking to the future for our clients and employees. The continuation will be there along with the added benefit of a larger company and upward momentum for our employees, plus access to more industry products for our clients was also appealing.”

Buchanan, Ingersoll & Rooney served as legal counsel for the transaction.
