Graham Partners has acquired Immix, a provider of software workflow solutions for remote video monitoring and security operations centers, the companies announced Sept. 15.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed in the releases.
Immix, founded in 2003, provides technology used by professional monitoring centers, enterprise security operations and command centers, remote guarding providers and outsourced security operations centers. The company supports more than 200 remote video monitoring customers and helps enable the protection of more than 100,000 businesses, schools and job sites globally.
The company's platform brings video, audio, access control, sensors and AI analytics into a single system. Its technology is designed to allow monitoring operators to identify and respond to threats, reduce false alarms and route responses in real time.
Immix Central Station serves as a system of record for professional video monitoring centers and supports more than 500 device types through integrations, monitoring software and AI-enabled capabilities. Immix Guard Force extends those capabilities to enterprises operating their own security and command centers, video monitoring operations, remote guarding operations and outsourced security operations centers.
The companies said the acquisition is expected to support additional investment in Immix's platform, integrations and customer experience.
“We are immensely excited to partner with Graham Partners as we enter the next phase of Immix’s growth,” said Chris Brown, CEO of Immix. “For more than two decades, our team has focused on building technology that helps monitoring professionals do their jobs more effectively and enables organizations to deliver better security outcomes.”
Brown said Graham's experience investing in technology-enabled safety and security businesses, along with its resources and long-term perspective, will allow Immix to increase investment in its platform and continue serving customers worldwide.
Graham Partners is a private investment firm focused primarily on advanced manufacturing and technology-enabled services businesses. The firm said it views remote video monitoring as a growing area within the safety and security technology market.
“Immix has established itself as a critical technology partner to the remote video monitoring industry, and we believe the company is exceptionally well positioned to benefit from the continued adoption of RVM,” said Stephen Wittmann, principal at Graham Partners.
Graham said increasing alarm volumes and difficulties hiring skilled personnel are contributing to the security industry's use of automation and AI-enabled video monitoring. Immix operates as a hardware- and technology-agnostic workflow solutions provider, allowing its platform to work across different security technology environments.
With Graham's backing, Immix said it plans to increase investment in its technology, integrations and capabilities.
Graham Partners is based in suburban Philadelphia. As of June 30, the firm reported approximately $5.1 billion in regulatory assets under management.
