Woodbridge, N.J., Aug. 23rd, 2023 – ISS (Intelligent Security Systems), a leading global provider of video intelligence and data awareness solutions, announced today that it will be demonstrating its new suite of labor safety and regulatory compliance analytics, along with its face as a credential solution and other AI-powered modules for physical security applications during GSX 2023, which is scheduled to take place Sept. 11-13 in Dallas, Texas.

Issues pertaining to workplace safety and regulatory compliance are increasingly having a detrimental impact on the productivity and bottom line of many organizations. The National Safety Council estimates that work injuries cost U.S. businesses nearly $164 billion in 2020. This includes $61 billion in administrative costs, 44.8 billion in wage and productivity losses, 34.9 billion in medical expenses, and nearly $13 billion in uninsured costs, which includes lost time by workers and the time needed to investigate injuries.

To address these challenges, ISS has unveiled a comprehensive suite of analytic detectors tailormade to help organizations mitigate against various workplace safety and regulatory compliance issues, including; personal protective equipment (PPE) detection to determine when employees are donning garb required by OSHA, such as hardhats as well as safety vests, harnesses and glasses; hand sanitizing detection to ensure workers and guests adhere to mandatory hygiene practices in industries like food preparation; and face mask detection for those charged with protecting healthcare facilities and other sterile environments.

The SecurOS Behavior Analyzer (SBA) module also provides businesses with the ability to identify potential risky behaviors committed by workers and address them before they result in injuries or deaths. These include slip-and-falls, holding handrails, fighting, climbing to forbidden high-rise objects, people down or in need of medical attention, and much more.

ISS will also be highlighting the capabilities of its SecurOS FaceX as a Credential solution during the show, which enables employees, contractors, and visitors to open doors within a facility using only their face as a key. The system can be integrated with existing access control systems and combined with other access credentials, such as proximity cards or other biometric readers, to create a multi-factor authentication solution. Alternatively, FaceX can also be combined with our other modules, like PPE detection, to grant or deny access to people based on whether they are wearing the proper safety equipment.

Additionally, the SecurOS Tracking Kit, which can detect up to 10 different behaviors per camera, including object left behind, object removed, loitering, running, smoke, intrusion, people counting, dwell time, wrong-way, and crowd detection, will also be available for attendees to see and interact with during the show.

“Seamlessly combining video management, native high-accuracy analytics, third-party integrations, and AI, SecurOS is the next generation solution that the industry is looking for. At GSX, we will show how one platform can quickly solve so many challenges end users face in their day-to-day operations,” said Matt Powell, Managing Director for North America at ISS. “We look forward to showing these capabilities at our interactive booth, where attendees can put on a safety vest, helmet, and experience what the future of video intelligence looks like.”
