Practical Video Solutions, a provider of wireless Internet-enabled video monitoring and control systems, has named Lewis Cohen as its new president and CEO.
Cohen is an experienced information technology executive, with more than 20 years of experience in providing technical leadership to high-growth, world-class companies in highly competitive markets.
In his new position, Cohen's responsibilities include raising angel equity funds, directing sales efforts for the organization, building and maintaining relationships with clients, and developing and implementing a marketing program that focuses on three niche markets: law enforcement, executive protection and event management and commercial CCTV, within the industrial security industry,

Most recently, Cohen held the position of senior vice president at OzVision, Inc., a developer of remote video compression technology for the security, cellular telecommunications and data communications industries. Prior to OzVision, Cohen served as president and CEO for Apahouser Access Systems. In that position, he created a regionally dominant industrial security business that provided mechanical and electronic access control systems to industrial, retail, government, museum, hospital and education institutions throughout New England.
Cohen attended Harvard University, where he completed the President's Program. He received his M.S. degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., and a B.S. from Babson College in Wellesley, Mass.
Cohen is based at the company's Brookline, Mass. Headquarters.
