Due to concerns around the COVID-19 pandemic and out of an abundance of caution, The Security Industry Association has announced that the SIA GovSummit will be moving to a virtual format for 2020, on June 2-3.

SIA has announced that the event will be entirely free and open to all industry members and any government attendees. "With this virtual format, we look forward to delivering the GovSummit programming to more interested attendees and presenting more in-depth content on the topics that matter to government security practitioners, including new policies and legislation impacting security, evolving federal acquisition priorities, emerging technologies relevant to government and homeland security applications and government standards driving adoption of security technology," the statement says.

GovSummit  brings together government security leaders with private industry technologists for top-quality information sharing and education on security topics affecting federal, state and even local agencies. Specialized sessions include topics such as security technology procurement strategies, evolving federal acquisition priorities, infrastructure protection technology, identity management and access control policies, cybersecurity, school security and more.
