Security Industry Association opens nominations for the 2023 SIA Women in Biometrics Awards
The Security Industry Association (SIA) has opened the call for nominations for the 2023 SIA Women in Biometrics Awards, a globally recognized program presented by SIA with support from sponsor IDEMIA and organizational and media partners AVISIAN, Biometric Update, FindBiometrics and SIA’s Identity & Biometric Technology Advisory Board and Women in Security Forum. The recipients of this year’s Women in Biometrics Awards will be honored at the 2023 SIA GovSummit, SIA’s annual government security conference.
“SIA is proud to support and celebrate the inspiring women in the biometrics industry who are leading the way on advancements that safeguard our people, workplaces, schools and communities,” said SIA CEO Don Erickson. “As we approach International Women’s Day, this is a unique moment for our members to help set a new record of entries for this essential program and nominate the outstanding women at the forefront of this vital technology market. We look forward to recognizing the 2023 class of awardees at SIA GovSummit.”

- Participation: Efforts that go above and beyond individual company walls and into the larger identity sphere
- Innovation: Pioneering product development, innovation or corporate startup efforts
- Mentoring: Industry involvement sharing expertise and mentoring peers, thus growing the market
“IDEMIA is proud to be a part of the SIA Women in Biometrics Awards once again as a sponsor and applauds the program’s efforts to advance diversity and inclusion in the security and biometrics industry,” said IDEMIA Vice President of Smart Credentials Teresa Wu. “We encourage solution providers and professionals in our industry to get involved and nominate female leaders for recognition in this renowned program.”
