In today’s changing environment, the threat to civil infrastructure and urban security requires a proactive and prevention-focused approach

WEST HEMPSTEAD, NY (PRWEB) --  February 08, 2018 -- Total Security, a leading full service provider of electronic premises surveillance and security solutions, has announced that it has recently completed a prestigious security camera installation project at John F. Kennedy International Airport for the Department of Homeland Security/Customs & Border Protection in New York on December 22, 2017. Total Security was hired by the Department of Homeland Security to install new security cameras that will also help maximize their current systems.

John F. Kennedy International Airport is the busiest international airport in the United States. Total Security was hired by the Department of Homeland Security to install surveillance cameras throughout the outdoor perimeter to help safeguard sensitive and restricted areas. The project involved integrating the new hardware with existing hardware in order to allow DHS CBP Agents to closely monitor sensitive and restricted areas.

Specifically, a combination of both IP and TVI cameras were installed along with a Hybrid DVR and PC -based VMS to give DHS the best possible resolution from the new hardware, while maximizing the performance of their existing systems. Fiber Optic cable and connections were also used in order to overcome the bandwidth issues caused by the size of the facility. The system was designed and installed by Total Security’s experienced team, who first conducted several operational walk-throughs and then planned the strategic placement of cameras in the Airport Logistics Facility across four floors.

Total Security was selected based on their vast experience, knowledge, and professionalism on which they have built their reputation over the past fifteen years. “We understand the challenges faced by law enforcement agencies,” said Total Security CEO, Matt DiMicco. “In today’s changing environment, the threat to civil infrastructure and urban security requires a proactive and prevention-focused approach. Our professional and knowledgeable security installation experts will assist our clients in developing a comprehensive surveillance and safety plan for their organization followed by highly specific security solutions to meet and exceed all security requirements.”

When asked how the company has grown to become a go-to security systems company for everything from large commercial enterprises to government organizations, Mr. DiMicco added, “We’ve stayed focused on people not just technology. Our foremen and project managers are some of the most experienced in the industry. They are able to not only oversee proper manpower utilization to keep the project on schedule but they also can overcome installation issues as they occur. Our process is more robust and we are uniquely set up to anticipate and solve challenges large and small,” said Mr. DiMicco.
