Platinum Tools Introduces Wireless Fiber Optic Inspection Scope

Platinum Tools has introduced the PT-SCOPE-200, a wireless fiber optic inspection scope designed to support endface inspection and reporting for fiber optic connectors. The company says the device is now shipping and is intended to help ensure connectors meet required cleanliness standards.

The PT-SCOPE-200 is a portable fiber inspection microscope that supports both wired and Wi-Fi connectivity. According to the company, it is designed for use with smartphones and tablets and offers 200X magnification to provide detailed images of fiber end faces. The scope is compatible with both Android and iOS devices.

Platinum Tools states that the device allows users to identify dirt and debris on fiber connectors and includes an integrated application that displays testing zones with pass or fail results. The company says this functionality is intended for use in fieldwork, data centers and telecom applications.

The PT-SCOPE-200 is compatible with Platinum Tools’ mini OTDR and Copper Tester and is designed for technicians and installers working with fiber optic cable terminations. It includes a slim carrying case and supports common connector endface adapters.

Additional features listed by the company include the ability to capture, save and share inspection results, a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, a compact and rugged housing and USB-C charging. Included accessories are SC and LC adapter tips, a USB-C charging cable, a cleaning brush and a quick-start guide.

Platinum Tools will feature the PT-SCOPE-200 during ISC West 2026, which takes place March 25-27 in Las Vegas.
