Robotic Assistance Devices (RAD) has brought in security industry veteran Tom Reilly to develop and execute a strategy for systems integrator and distribution channels, where the company says it has had limited presence.

The engagement took effect Oct. 19, according to an announcement. Reilly will develop channel programs and an operating model, work with RAD’s sales team on execution and evaluate existing channels for growth opportunities.

“I came up selling through integrators and dealers, and what I took from it is that you can stay close to the end user without ever going around the partner who owns that account. Get that right and both of them feel looked after,” said Reilly. “RAD already works that way, the products are built for partners, and the direct business has proven they work. The program around that is the part I'm here to build. The sales team is already winning; this should make their job easier.”

RAD said RAIA, SARA and its stationary products are designed to be specified, installed and supported by integrators and distributors. The company expects those partners to drive much of its next phase of growth.

“What we haven’t had is a repeatable program for integrators and distributors,” said Troy McCanna, RAD’s chief revenue officer.

Reilly served as president of Commend Americas, the Americas business of security communications manufacturer Commend, from 2019 to 2026, with profit and loss responsibility across the United States, Canada and Latin America.

He will also help develop strategic account plans for major North American guarding and facility services companies. His first deliverable is a channel strategy with measurable milestones.

RAD parent Artificial Intelligence Technology Solutions said the strategy supports its December 2026 positive operating cash flow goal through additional partner revenue without adding fixed costs.
