Technology partner to provide improved sensor for First Responder solution

Las Vegas – March 20, 2012 – FutureSentry, a developer of automated detection solutions designed to enhance perimeter security, will announce a new technology partnership with Linear Corp., a leading supplier of electronics for a host of residential and commercial purposes, at ISC West 2012, being held March 28-30, 2012, at the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas. Conference attendees are invited to view the most recent upgrades to FutureSentry’s award-winning product line at booth #21138. During the conference, FutureSentry will also demonstrate the capabilities of the SolsticeCam FutureSentry edition, a joint solution developed in conjunction with leading surveillance solution provider Sun Surveillance.

“We are pleased to introduce the newly enhanced capabilities of the FutureSentry First Responder at ISC West," said Rolland Trayte, President and COO, FutureSentry. "The new sensors enable advanced detection capabilities and further limits the opportunity for criminal behavior, while our collaboration with Sun Surveillance provides critical infrastructure customers with a way to protect far-reaching perimeters without complex and costly installations.”
FutureSentry and Sun Surveillance, a South Carolina-based wireless security technology provider, have worked together to optimize Sun Surveillance’s solar technology to bring to market a solar-powered First Responder unit that is ideal for areas with limited access to power or cabling.

“The First Responder was designed to mimic the actions of a traditional security guard to automatically secure perimeters and deter crime when motion is detected,” said Chris Phillips, President, Sun Surveillance. “The addition of our solar technology enables the First Responder to be deployed in areas that have limited infrastructure. Therefore, the SolsticeCam FutureSentry edition can help widen those perimeters because camera placement is possible anywhere.”

The FutureSentry First Responder leverages built-in intelligence to automatically identify potentially dangerous targets and tracks objects to deter criminal behavior. Once it detects motion in a user-defined area, the system illuminates activity with a high-intensity LED light. It features full and unlimited 360-degree rotation that enables the unit to scan for activity in either direction over a 360- degree area of protection.
